Fall in New York State has something for everyone. Crisp, cool days transform our state into a breathtaking palette of fall colors-with many vantage points to view it from!

Once you’ve decided on a fall foliage destination, consider a scenic train ride to take it all in or go on a self guided driving tour with just your sweetheart. If you’re up for an adventure, the view can’t be beat from a hot air balloon ride over the Adirondacks!

If fall foliage isn’t your thing, try biting into the season’s first apple cider donuts. Or visit a New York winery or brewery !

New York State offers fall fun for the whole family. Head to a pumpkin patch for Halloween fun-and while you’re there, take a hayride, visit a petting zoo, or even fire a pumpkin cannon.

For a low-key autumn adventure, take a hike in one of New York State’s 178 state parks, where you’ll find over 17,000 miles of scenic hiking, biking, horseback riding and canoe trails.
